Perry Memorial Hospital Auxiliary

Perry Memorial Hospital Auxiliary is a membership organization dedicated to supporting the hospital and staff. In recent years, the Auxiliary’s support has helped in purchasing equipment and furniture.

Today, the Auxiliary has both male and female members and is headed by President Barbara St. Clair. Auxiliary members are very proud of the group’s accomplishments and are actively involved as volunteers within the hospital. The Auxiliary constant dedication from participants and their financial support is making a positive difference in our community.

Why Volunteer

These are some of the reasons our active volunteers give their time to Perry Memorial Hospital. Men and women contribute positively to life at the hospital. You too can be part of caring environment. Think about joining our team of 30 active members. You won’t regret.

The days and time you volunteer are flexible. Openings are available weekdays. Typically we ask that you volunteer at lease twelve (12) hours of service each month, however other options are possible. When you begin at PMH, you will receive orientation and training in the area you’re working.

History

The Perry Memorial Hospital Auxiliary was organized by Mrs. Milo (Ann) Watson and Mrs. Edwin (Mary) Malzahn in October of 1962. Mrs. Marty (Georgia) McQuain served as president. The purpose of the organization is to assist the hospital in promoting the health and welfare of the community through the purchasing of much needed equipment for use in the hospital. These purchases are funded through fundraisers and sales of gift items in the gift shop. The first groups of auxiliary members were known as the “The Cheery Cherry Red Ladies”. Later the name was changed to the Perry Memorial Hospital Volunteers so that men could also become members.

Auxiliary Scholarship

The Perry Memorial Hospital Auxiliary awards a scholarship each year to a Noble County high school senior interested in entering the medical field.
